Fuel is part of the program, not a handout.

Recovery isn’t an afterthought. Training volume, mobility work, sleep and how you eat all sit inside the same plan. Use this to get an honest baseline for your day, then we can build from real numbers instead of guesses.

Questions

Nutrition, the golf-specific version.

Do I need to lose weight to hit it further?

Not necessarily. For many golfers the ultimate goal isn’t getting stronger or losing weight, it is having their body stop being the limiting factor. Sometimes body composition is part of that, sometimes it is mobility and rotational power. The numbers here are a starting point, not a verdict.

How much protein does a golfer actually need?

Enough to recover from the training we are doing, which is usually more than golfers assume and less than the internet shouts. This calculator gives you a sensible daily range based on your bodyweight and activity. What matters more is hitting it consistently across the week, not perfectly on one day.

What should I eat during a round in Arizona heat?

Plan for it the way you plan for a training session. Fluid on every few holes rather than all at the turn, something with carbohydrate and a little protein around hole six and hole twelve, and a real meal afterward. Recovery isn’t an afterthought — it is part of the program, and a hot round is a physical event.
